The product range of GRAEBENER GROUP in the field of
the forming technology is divided into hydraulic presses and sheet
metal forming for the pipe mill technology.
Hydroforming / hot stamping
The hydroforming process as a generic
term covers different hydroforming processes such as internal
high pressure forming, hydromechanical deep-drawing as well
as the hydrostatic deep-drawing. By means of hydromechanical
or hydrostatic deep drawing, metal sheets can be given complex
shapes which can either not be reached at all with the conventional
deep drawing processes or could only be reached at extraordinarily
high expenses.
Hot Stamping meets the expectations of the automobile industry
for the reduction of weight while enhancing the crash behaviours.
In order to manufacture extremely solid reinforcing parts the
unprocessed plates are heated to approx. 950°C, formed in
a tool of a special spress connected to a cooling system and
then cooled in a controlled way.
Sheet metal forming / pipe mill technology
The field of the sheet metal forming
for the pipe mill technology includes various machines and presses
for the forming of large plates to pipes and vessels. The design
of these machines is oriented to the special requirements such
as for example the API 5L.
